Management Team Expertise
Infinity Venture Group's management team of Ed Addison, John
McGrath, and Lawrence Husick has over 50 years of combined management experience
with start-up technology-based ventures. The three founders
have worked together for over ten years developing
start-up ventures, licensing technology, and managing mergers with
public ventures, and preparing IPOs.
Starting with ConQuest Software Inc.,
the management team saw the
rise of the Internet, and developed the first commercial semantic
network text retrieval technology. ConQuest products were licensed
to companies like Yahoo!, Netscape, IBM, and Inktomi, to name a few.
The company eventually merged with a NASDAQ company, and became a
joint venture with Intel Corporation. The ConQuest products are
continuing t be sold as the leading semantic network based
technology for advanced text management and retrieval.
Based on a technology acquisition from IBM and Lotus, the partners
then launched Powerize.com, at one point the largest commercial
source for non-subscription business intelligence on the web. This
venture was eventually readied for IPO, but was sold for a premium
to Hoovers, Inc, a leading supplier of company information. Hoovers
is now part of Dunn and Bradstreet.
In both the above cases technology was properly valued, a plan
developed, executed, and followed through for maximize ROI. The
partnership developed Infinity Venture Group to apply their
expertise, and those of their affiliates, to supporting a number of
ventures in various stages of development.
